I would like to see the budget of the US government directly linked to taxes. Like, when there’s a budget cut, I want my 5 cents back. When there’s a budget increase, I want a tax hike. I know it wouldn’t necessarily be practical in the real world, but we have lots of virtual worlds.

The Sims games could add a feature where you pay taxes on your income and you vote once/game day on some public issue: welfare, defense, highway money, whatever. Then the result of the vote determines your new taxes. I guess this would have to be a MMORPG type game.

It would be a very interesting sociological study.
