The sidebar poll is made possible by a nice plugin for WordPress called “Democracy,” created by Andrew Sutherland. I’m sure other blog utilities have their own plug-ins for this purpose.

Once the plugin was downloaded, I (actually Rizwan) simply took a small piece of code, provided by Andrew, and pasted it in Presentation->Theme Editor specifically in the sidebar (instruction provided on the Democracy site).

The content of the poll itself can be controlled in the Manage->Democracy menu. I write the question and include whatever answers I wish. I check the option that allows users to add answers as well.

Hopefully, this will allow everyone to keep me up to date on emerging tech and also give them a chance to read about desired topics!
